Student Travel Award
The PRIMO19 organizing committee will offer the Student Travel Award to support graduate and undergraduate students who wish to attend PRIMO19. The award will provide stipend of up to 50,000 yen/person to approximately 50 students. The last date for the Student Travel Award Application is 1st April, 2017. The awardees will be notified via email by 28th April, 2017.
Requirements:
Applicant must be a student in undergraduate, Master, or Ph.D. course. Applicants for the Student Travel Award must submit an abstract by 1st April, 2017 for making a platform or poster presentation at PRIMO19.
Application:
Each applicant intending to apply for the Student Travel Award must partake in the abstract submission process. Failure to meet the deadline or to follow instructions will result in the disqualification of the application.
Applicants are requested to submit the following application materials before the deadline;
- Resume (maximum 2 pages)
- Abstract for a platform or poster presentation at PRIMO19
- A letter of recommendation from the applicant's research supervisor (maximum 2 pages), which also includes verification of the student status
Evaluation Procedure:
The PRIMO19 organizing committee will evaluate all applications. The number of awards will be limited to available funds. The applicants will be ranked on the basis of the following criteria;
- Completeness and appropriateness of the application materials
- Quality and suitability of the abstract for PRIMO19
- Evaluation of applicant by his/her research supervisor
If the number of applicants exceeds the availability of funds, selection will be made considering the evaluation ranking by the PRIMO Organizing Committee and geographic distribution of applicants.
Award Presentation:
All awarded stipends will be given during PRIMO19
Submission of Application:
The application materials must be submitted on or before 1st April, 2017 through the Abstract Submission site of PRIMO19 website.
