Dr. Glenn T. Sameshima DDS PhD is Chairman and Program Director of the Advanced Orthodontic Program at the Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry of the University of Southern California, Los Angeles, California, USA, where he holds the rank of associate professor with tenure. He received his BS in mathematics from UCLA, and DDS from UC San Francisco. His certificate in Orthodontics, and PhD in Craniofacial Biology were earned from USC. A Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics, he is also the graduate orthodontic clinic director at USC. He has served on the PCSO Board of Directors, been appointed a Consultant to the ADA Committee on Accreditation, and is currently the PCSO representative to the AAO Council on Education. He has been teaching full time for over twenty years, and mentored many residents, visiting scholars, junior faculty, and graduate students. Glenn has authored numerous publications and book chapters, and been an invited speaker at many, many international and national orthodontic conferences and annual sessions. He is recognized worldwide as an authority on orthodontic root resorption, and his current research interests include digital orthodontics, retention and stability, non-cooperation appliances, impacted teeth, and investigating treatment claims. Dr. Sameshima is an active clinician with over 30 years experience in private practice in Torrance, California.
