Molar Intrusion with TADs for Open Bite: How Predictable?
In recent years the application of skeletal anchorage in the treatment of open bites has revolutionized the management of this complex malocclusion. Many cases that were previously only treatable with orthognathic surgery can now be managed non-surgically with skeletal anchorage. This lecture will introduce the simple and stable method, using palatal and buccal mini-implants, to correct skeletal Class II open bites. The specific mechanics as well as the predictability of the molar intrusion will be discussed.
