Management of dentofacial asymmetries via transverse correction
Attendees of this lecture will be able to manage the dentofacial asymmetries via transverse correction. Biologic and biomechanical background for correcting transverse problems with MARPE (Mini screw assisted rapid palatal expansion) in grown-up patient will be described. Also, Rationale and clinical application of MARPE will be demonstrated with the treated cases. Additionally, treatment modalities for correcting the dentofacial asymmetries and long term stability after MARPE will also be introduced.

・Biologic and biomechanical background of MARPE
・Clinical tips and application of MARPE
・Skeletal and dento-alveolar changes and stability after MARPE in young adult. A cone-beam computed tomography study outcomes will be introduced.
・Treatment modalities for correcting the dentofacial asymmetries.
